The first step in refinishing a piece of furniture is trying to figure out what we want to do with it. There is rarely a time that Aileen and I don't agree on what to do with a piece! Choosing what we do to a piece is fun but it all depends on what shape it is in when we get it. Some pieces need a lot of work(veneer is peeling off, parts are missing, etc) other pieces just need a new look(great shape, but dated look) and other pieces sit in our shop for a long time because we are sort of scared of them because we don't know what to do with them(haha...this hasn't happened too often). This cabinet, it came to us in great shape, we knew what we wanted to do with it as soon as it came in and it turned out perfectly. It was looking a little dated, but the interior was in perfect shape, so we thought it would be fun to keep some of it's original charm! This cabinet's exterior has been refinished in black and has been lightly distressed the inside is it's original charm. We hope you love it as much as we do!
