Summer Might Come Back Eventually Table

This table has been refinished in Duck egg chalk paint (AS), distressed and coated with clear wax. The top has been stained dark walnut and coated with poly. As we look out our windows we are very quickly reminded that summer is no where to be seen. The ground is covered with a layer of white snow. It's been freezing cold here, and by freezing I mean the chilled to the bone, numb with cold, frozen stiff kind of freezing. It's hard to believe that we even experience summer in this country. But this table has a summer cottage feeling, that coastal, seaside, comfy cottage look. That reminds me that summer will probably come back eventually. Until then we will have to enjoy skating on outdoor rinks, down hill skiing, tobogganing, hot tubs, fireplaces, hot chocolate, cozy sweaters and turtle necks(that might be going a little too far...I can't believe you can actually buy those again!).
